Hello there! My name is Jack Pearl, and I am a freelance filmmaker, videographer, and editor based in Nashville, TN. Before my film career, I served in the United States Army for 6 years as a Field Artillery Officer. While I am proud of my time in the military and thankful for the opportunities it provided, I decided to end my service to pursue a lifelong dream of working in film.
While learning and honing my skills as a filmmaker at Lipscomb University in the Film & Creative Media MFA, I gained experience in all phases of production. Developing skills as a producer, assistant director, Editor, and camera assistant, I have a well-rounded, versatile skillset that I bring to every set.
Since graduating from Lipscomb, I worked for nearly 2 years on staff as a Camera Assistant, among many other things, for a small production company. Through this experience, I worked and gained expertise as a rigging grip and jib operator. From operating a motocrane for car-to-car production for Mercedes and a spec documentary, to rigging a Ronin 2 stabilizer and black arm mount for the 2nd unit of a Kubota commercial, to assisting a jimmy jib operator for a live performance at the Ryman Auditorium, I am uniquely experienced at jib and vehicle-mounted video production.
While doing all of the above, I have worked as a freelance videographer for 3 years. Shooting and editing projects such as corporate interviews, weddings, sports highlights, testimonials, live events, and more, I help bring people's stories to life and get their brand's message across to their desired audience.
